Another essential factor in bodybuilding success is nutrition.   Dietary intake provides the nutrients to build the muscle mass promoted by proper training.

This aspect of the bodybuilding triad is no more nor less important than the other two.  Again it is consistency of application that will bring the desired results.

 

Athletes must concentrate on building a diet that is sufficient in protein by eating sufficient amounts of lean meats, eggs as well as other natural sources.  Fat is NOT something to be totally avoided.  Fat can be and is an essential part of the dietary intake.  It is saturated fats in the diet that should be avoided. 

 

Carbohydrates are found in two types starchy and fibrous.  Athletes should be sure which is which and reduce starchy carbohydrates while increasing fibrous when preparing for competition.                                                                                                                                    Ric Manago
